BEATRICE
Electronic music producer Beatrice Lewis is one of the most exciting multifaceted artists in the current Australian music landscape. She is a songwriter, performer and producer of one of Australia’s most electrifying new dance acts, Haiku Hand; a songwriter and producer for award-winning indigenous band Kardajala Kirridarra, and enjoys a flourishing career as a solo artist.

Beatrice recently won the 2019 APRA’s Personal Development award in the Dance/Electronic category, is an alumni of the Red Bull Music Academy, has performed at major electronic music festivals from Pitch to MONA FOMA, and was named one of Beat Magazine’s “Melbourne producers that owned 2017”.

As a songwriter, singer and producer of innovative pop art band Haiku Hands, Beatrice has amassed millions of streams and impressed audiences and critics worldwide. Haiku Hands have toured Europe twice, had a sold-out headline Australian tour, a break-out performance at SXSW and a run of US tours and supports. Having bagged a coveted spot on the NME 100, Haiku Hands has been tipped as one of the most exciting new bands in music by the likes of Vogue, Clash, DIY, Dork, BBC Radio 1 and Beats 1. They have also had numerous Sync placements on Good Girls and many other Netflix series, composed an original song for Freaky Friday, Apple, Peletron amongst others.
As a solo artist, Beatrice has collaborated with pioneering electronic artists including Suzanne Ciani, Theo Parrish and Just Blaze. She co-wrote the original score for ground- breaking documentary Her Sound, Her Story, and has supported genre heavyweights including Jon Hopkins, Mark Pritchard, and Willaris.K. Beatrice recently signed to US publishing company Third Side Music and is currently working on her first album to be released in 2023.

For the past eight years, Beatrice has been a composer, workshop facilitator and strong advocate for indigenous women's music throughout Australia. She is a member of the critically acclaimed band Kardajala Kirridarra which blends contemporary electronic music with traditional indigenous themes. Kardajala Kirridarra won MusicNT’s 2017 Folk Song of the Year, and earned ‘album of the week’ at 9 radio stations including Double J, RRR and FBi. This year Kardajala are headlining a show at Melbourne Recital Centre and working on new music.
