JOEP MENCKE NL
Through his Dj-sets, breath-work, and, recently, his new live-set, Joep Mencke uses his music to facilitate an inward journey. Through musical storytelling he aims to provide a vehicle for exploration and transformation. His music, which is heavily inspired by nature and the immensely diverse cultures on this planet, can be characterized as: compelling, deep, and melodious. Melancholic chord progressions, hypnotizing bass-lines, and driving drums will accompany you on your journey.
Unalome is Joep Mencke’s debut album which will come out mid 2022. Consisting of 11 tracks, Unalome is a journey through frequencies and their corresponding emotions. The album highlights the interplay between sound and consciousness, and focuses on using music as a tool for exploration and transformation.
The structure of the album is based on research conducted by Dr. Hawkins and his Map of Consciousness, in which he links emotions to specific frequencies. Unalome starts with the emotion Courage (just below the neutral level) and moves all the way up to enlightenment. Passing emotions like: acceptance, trust, joy, love, peace. This album will be the first major release that is fundamentally rooted in Joep Mencke’s mission to use music to raise awareness and stimulate transformation.
