"I like to play a fair amount of afro house because it’s awesome and I don’t hear enough of it when I go out. It’s fun and easy to dance to, being that I’m from the motherland I guess it follows.

I play a lot of older tech house, deep house, I like a nostalgic vibe. I like some progressive, some techno, sure, all under 130bpm generally. I’m thinking about those all-time favourite tracks that I loved when I was a teenager – remember the ones you knew all the words to and you would play them over and over again… stuff by The Cranberries – ‘No Need to Argue’, ‘Animal Instinct’, ‘Salvation’; Garbage – ‘Milk’, ‘You Look so Fine’, ‘Special’, ‘#1 Crush’; Natalie Merchant’s ‘Ophelia’; all of Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morisette, ‘Miss Sarajevo’ by U2, even ‘Yellow’ by Coldplay, ‘Don’t Speak’ by No Doubt, ‘Malibu’ by Hole, ‘What about Love’ and ‘I want more Pt. 1’ by Faithless, Groove Armada’s ‘Easy’, Sneaker Pimps, Portishead…

I could go on but – thinking about it I guess on the whole these tracks have some feeling behind them, some are absolutely dripping with emotion, and I seem to gravitate towards music that hits something inside me, makes me feel something."
